Hi, I’m Liz.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor & a Certified Life Transition Guide. I’m also a feminist, sea-lover, loud laugher, world traveler, and avid poetry reader.
I know what it’s like to feel stuck, and to need support in the many difficult things life brings. Seeking support doesn’t mean you’re weak, it means you’re STRONG and resourceful (even if it doesn’t feel like it). I love working with clients to help them find the inner resources and brilliance they didn’t know they had.
If you choose to work with me, I will notice, reflect, and empathize with you. My work is mostly helping you find out what you already know (even if it’s not yet in your awareness). I will also bring in some tools to help you feel better until things start to get easier. I believe in focusing on inner work that is relevant and impactful now, and as we dive into that in our sessions together, I will help you find ways to apply our time together into your daily life for lasting change.
MY CREDENTIALS
I’m a Licensed Therapist within the state of Washington, and received my Masters in Counseling Psychology in 2014. My bachelors is also in Psychology— I’ve been passionately learning about people for over two decades now! During my time as a therapist I’ve worked in Infant Mental Health with babies and their parents, with children with special needs, with teenagers with eating disorders, and with adults with various concerns (to learn about what I specialize in, visit my therapy page).
I am integrative in my work, meaning I draw from a variety of approaches. Some approaches I draw from heavily are Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Narrative Therapy, Somatic Work, and Integrative Medicine for Mental Health. I believe in making sure clients are resourced while going deep into difficult work, and offer practical tools for self-regulation and self-care as they do so. I am also a Certified Life Transition Guide, which I use in helping clients through liminal and uncertain spaces.
